This is an exciting role for someone with previous Facilities management experience who can take responsibility for operational management in our downtown facility. This role will include control of budgets and costs, managing an outsourced team and will be responsible for aspects of the operational and strategic FM services. The candidate will need to demonstrate core organization and management skills to satisfactorily manage all aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with REWS functional teams, plan and manage delivery of daily office activities, employee programs, and service objectives in a regional site setting.
  • Oversee property management services including: maintenance of building and mechanical systems, janitorial service and supplies, and health and safety in a demanding environment that requires the highest level of service delivery.
  • People management and leadership skills with proven ability to influence at all levels. Solid experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards.
  • Manage vendor service contracts and RFP processes, including obtaining vendor price quotes, preparing contracts and purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Manage outsourced facilities services vendor; ensuring best practices are being created by using and testing google products while also having general oversight of daily operations of office(s) in all areas of workplace services including reception, security, mail, and ticketing system. Act as on-site liaison during planning and construction of office expansions and is also responsible for managing vendor service contracts and RFP processes, purchase orders, space planning, tracking, move coordination, and new hire space accommodations.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of service experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management or equivalent office management experience.
Preferred qualifications
  • Previous experience developing and managing budgets (including capital budget justification) with strong financial, contract management and purchasing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of property management, food service, leases, construction terms and practices. Understanding and knowledge of industry trends and direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced office environment. Proven record of effecting strategic change and initiatives where prudent.
  • Service-minded and strong customer service focus, flexible and open to new ways of doing business.
  • Solid people management and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence at all levels.

Network Engineer, Deployment, TX, USA

Google's network provides services to millions of Internet users around the world. The Network Deployment team is responsible for operating that network reliably and at scale. The team configures and installs network gear including running cables, hardware setup and decommissioning old gear as we're in a constant upgrade cycle. You have an appetite for accuracy and conduct site surveys and audits to verify that each network site has been built to the right specifications. A typical day can sometimes be physically demanding, but you're energetic and willing to participate in field deployments that are often off-site and off-hours. As an Engineer for the Network Deployment team you will be on the front lines of our efforts to deploy, design and maintain one of the largest and most complex private data networks in the world. Hardware Testing Engineer, Atlanta, GA, USA

Google's custom-designed machines make up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. The Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures that this cutting-edge equipment is reliable. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Responsibilities
  • Assist design engineers in testing and evaluating new products, root causing issues found in test data, and actively participating by making sound recommendations to resolve the issues.
